Life Ties, Inc. - T.I.L.T. (Teenage Independent Living Training) Mentoring Services

Life Ties, Inc. is proud to announce the launching of a new component of itd  program, T.I.L.T. (Teenage Independent Living Training) Mentoring services.  This program targets youth both males and females between the ages of 14-21, that are involved with DCPP (Department of Child Protection and Permanency) and CSOC (Children’s System of Care).  Youth are matched with mentors who provide guidance, builds trust, and models positive behavior.  Mentors understand his/her role in the life of a mentee and can help build the youth’s character by developing positive long-lasting relationships.

P.U.R.E. (Phenomenal, Unique, Remarkable, Exquisite) Girls

P.U.R.E. (Phenomenal, Unique, Remarkable, Exquisite) Girls: P.U.R.E. was founded in September 2012.  We are located in the small town of Fieldsboro.  Our mission is to empower, inspire and motivate young girls ages 8-18 years old.  We currently meet once a month on a Saturday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.  Our topics vary each month, but they all pertain to girl empowerment.  We currently have 21 members and would to mentor more!  Some of the topics discussed has been self-esteem, financial literacy, building relationships, organization and health and wellness.  (609)326-3816

New Jersey Orators, Inc.

New Jersey Orators, Inc. (www.oratorsinc.org) is a 30-year old non-profit youth organization serving annually over 250 youth in eight counties throughout New Jersey, including chapters in Burlington County. Its mission is to teach the art of public speaking, an appreciation for literature, reading and media arts literacy, and life skills to youth from 7 to 18 years of age in preparation for college.

Burlington County Municipal Alliance Network

Burlington County Municipal Alliance Network works with, and is funded by, the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, county and local government.  Municipal Alliances plan, coordinate, and conduct alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention activities to benefit communities.  There are 26 alliances serving 33 communities in Burlington County.  Local events and projects need input and support.  There are many volunteer opportunities for adults and groups of supervised teens.  Call the County Municipal Alliance Coordinator at 609-265-5538   Elfrieda Francis,

New Jersey Foster Grandparent Program

New Jersey Foster Grandparent Program is looking for volunteers (60+) to serve as companions/mentors for children in area Head Start and preschool programs as well as group homes, hospitals and New Lisbon Developmental Center.  Eligible volunteers may serve up to 40 hours a week, receive a tax-free stipend and mileage as well as supplemental insurance, ‘paid’ holidays, vacation and sick time.  Please call Cynthia at 609-726-1000 x 4370.
