Learn how to become an Advocate for abused and neglected children in Burlington County. Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties is currently recruiting volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CASA and its volunteers speak for children in court, serve as fact finders for the family court judges and safeguard the interests of the children while they are in the foster care system.

Head Start, a Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP), with centers in Browns Mills, Burlington, Delanco, Mount Holly, Pemberton, Sunbury, and Willingboro, needs volunteers to monitor busses, assist classroom teachers, help the centers' cooks, and perform other activities.  Volunteers must be 18+, and may or may not be relatives of students.  Call 609-261-2323. Bridge of Hope Burlington County

Bridge of Hope Burlington County, a Christian non-profit ministry, working to end and prevent homelessness for single women with children, needs church partners, and volunteers in fund raising and grant writing. Project Team Leader needed for South Jersey and Burlington County.  Estimated at 2-3 hours per week. Requirements: An extensive knowledge of multi-level fundraising, event planning, and may also including letter writing, personal contact, grant writing, and other duties.

Voorhees Pediatric Facility

Voorhees Pediatric Facility seeks volunteers 14 years and older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and socializing with residents.  We also seek assistance providing clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!
