Community Options, Inc.

Community Options, Inc. is a pioneering, national nonprofit organization that has assisted thousands of people with disabilities to depart institutions, live in settings of their choice, achieve fiscal autonomy and explore recreational opportunities that foster self-esteem.  COI is currently recruiting groups (businesses, corporations, college organizations, etc.) to participate in Project: CARE (Community Assisted Residence Enhancement).

Margaret Donnelly O’Connor Education Center at Ethel R. Lawrence Homes

Margaret Donnelly O’Connor Education Center at Ethel R. Lawrence Homes is in need of high school or adult volunteers who are willing to tutor 1st – 8th grade ERLH children in all subjects during our afterschool enrichment program. The MDO Education Center is managed by Fair Share Development, Inc. a non-profit organization that develops and manages affordable housing in Camden, Gloucester and Burlington Counties.   Jesuit Volunteer at (856) 439-9915,  jv@fairsharedevelopment.org

Muscular Dystrophy Association

The Muscular Dystrophy Association seeks volunteers (16+) to help with general office duties, answering phones, preparing mailings, and organizing fundraising projects that may be held in your local community.   Counselors (18+) are also needed for one-week summer camp in June. Save the Environment of Moorestown (STEM)

Save the Environment of Moorestown (STEM) was founded in 1972 to organize citizens of Moorestown to work on specific local environmental programs to provide a better environment for present and future generations.  Volunteers are needed to do environmental education, natural area management, field study, record keeping, mapping, flyer distribution, fund raising, and attending public meetings.  Teens welcome to apply, Kathy Huffman, Director.
