Community Options, Inc. is a pioneering, national nonprofit organization that has assisted thousands of people with disabilities to depart institutions, live in settings of their choice, achieve fiscal autonomy and explore recreational opportunities that foster self-esteem. COI is currently recruiting groups (businesses, corporations, college organizations, etc.) to participate in Project: CARE (Community Assisted Residence Enhancement). The program enables both members of the community and volunteers from local colleges and businesses to improve the quality of life for all of our residents living in COI group homes. Groups will volunteer for one full day helping paint the interior and do minor repairs throughout the inside and outside of the home. Must be 18 years of age or older and able to provide your own transportation to and from the event. Previous experience with painting and home repair and maintenance is a definite plus, but in no way required. The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) welcomes volunteers of all ages to participate in several different fundraising and awareness opportunities in support of our free programs and services for the MS community. Our Swim for MS initiative is a do-it-yourself fundraiser where anyone can create their own individual or group swim challenge and recruit donations in support of MSAA. Our Team MSAA endurance events are also another great way to get involved – our runners, walkers, and cyclists participate in races throughout the country while raising funds for people with multiple sclerosis.
