American Red Cross- New Jersey Region

American Red Cross-New Jersey Region –– Volunteers are needed to help in Disaster Assistance, Blood Services and with the Pillowcase Project.  Volunteers in Disaster Assistance are trained and able to respond to local Disasters and assist in Shelters.  Blood Services volunteers assist with Registration and Refreshments at Blood Drives or/and to help transport blood for processing.  Pillowcase Project is in need of facilitators – we will train - to present this preparedness program to students in grades 3 to 5.  Virtual administrative opportunities are also available.

Samaritan

Samaritan is a non-profit agency caring for people in our communities with serious, progressive illness and grief wherever they live without regard for their ability to pay. Volunteers are desired for companionship visits to patients and their families, veteran visits with fellow veterans, pet therapy visits, music performance, office support, bereavement phone calls, support calls, greeting/escorting families and answering calls at our Samaritan Center at Voorhees, Thrift Store support, and committees. Complimentary orientation and training is provided.

Shipman Mansion Foundation

Shipman Mansion Foundation - Non-profit focused on preservation of an 1869 home on the banks of the Delaware River in Edgewater Park is looking for someone with knowledge of QuickBooks and non-profit accounting to help them set up their books and records. The Shipman Mansion Foundation recently received a $12,000 grant from the 1772 Foundation and a financial system has to be set up to track the grant, expenses and donations. Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital seeks volunteers 16 years or older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories provide TLC and socializing with patients.  Volunteers commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, for a minimum of 3 months.  We also seek assistance with clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!

Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities

Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in Burlington County.  The program is currently in need of volunteers to assist with donation solicitation and donation management. Activities may include soliciting items from local businesses for our annual major fundraiser, sorting Thanksgiving meal and Holiday donations as well as assistance with Community Affairs. We also have opportunities for volunteers to work with Domestic Violence Response Teams.

Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International of Southern New Jersey

Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International of Southern New Jersey provides information, counseling, and support to newly-diagnosed diabetics and their families.  This all-volunteer agency provides literature to educate the public, support the diabetic, and raises funds for the cure of diabetes.  Teens welcome to apply. Emergency & Community Services
