  • Military & Family Support Center (MFSC)

    The Military & Family Support Center (MFSC) incorporates the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Army Community Service and Fleet & Family Support Center of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst coordinates volunteer efforts on behalf of military families. Volunteers are needed for recreation, office work, and mentoring.   • Food Bank of South Jersey

    The Food Bank of South Jersey’s mission is to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger, by providing food  to needy, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them find sustainable ways to improve their lives.  Volunteer Hours are M – F 9:00 – 11:30am and 12:30 – 3pm shifts.  No walk-ins, all volunteering must be scheduled.  Jobs include: sorting, packing boxes of can goods, sorting non-foods, packing Kidz Packs and Senior bags, etc.  There are also offsite Hope Mobile and special events volunteering available.  Must be over 13 years old.  13 – 16 yr. olds must be accompanied with a parent.  New Volunteer Orientation is required and is held once per month on the 2nd Wednesday – RSVP required.  Please contact Mike Kneble at mkneble@foodbanksj.org to schedule Orientation and then volunteering.

  • Head Start, a Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP)

    Head Start, a Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP), with centers in Browns Mills, Burlington, Delanco, Mount Holly, Pemberton, Sunbury, and Willingboro, needs volunteers to monitor busses, assist classroom teachers, help the centers' cooks, and perform other activities.  Volunteers must be 18+, and may or may not be relatives of students.  Call 609-261-2323.   • Holy Redeemer Hospice

    Holy Redeemer Hospice is in need of caring volunteers.  We offer a faith-based program with a holistic approach to healing and caring for the total person beyond their healthcare needs.  Volunteer opportunities include clerical work to support hospice staff, or patient visits and companionship to support hospice patients and their families.  Patient visits can be in the home, or in a nursing home or assisted living community.  No personal care required.  Training is provided.  Please call Jane Elliot at 856-939-9000 x 31520 or email jellio@holyredeemer.com for more info.   • Bridge of Hope Burlington County

    Bridge of Hope Burlington County, a Christian non-profit ministry, working to end and prevent homelessness for single women with children, needs church partners, and volunteers in fund raising and grant writing. Project Team Leader needed for South Jersey and Burlington County.  Estimated at 2-3 hours per week. Requirements: An extensive knowledge of multi-level fundraising, event planning, and may also including letter writing, personal contact, grant writing, and other duties. Having a current database to pull from is a plus.; 6-10 Team Members to act as salt & light in planning, executing, and following up with 2 major events each year - Winter Gala & Spring outing. Other smaller events or town sponsored fairs also in need of support workers. Grant writer is needed to help our cause acquire available grants to expand our ministry and help as many moms as possible. Experience a must!  Christian churches of any denomination with a small group of volunteers that we will train to act as mentors for a homeless mom and her children.   • Roebling Museum

    Roebling Museum, 100 Second Avenue, Roebling, NJ 08554 - Help is needed to work with local railway enthusiasts to restore our locomotive in the Museum’s Millyard.  Volunteer opportunities are available working in the Ferdinand Roebling lll Archives processing and cataloging collections, and  to help staff the Museum’s summer and fall hours.
