  • Shipman Mansion Foundation

    Shipman Mansion Foundation - Non-profit focused on preservation of an 1869 home on the banks of the Delaware River in Edgewater Park is looking for someone with knowledge of QuickBooks and non-profit accounting to help them set up their books and records. The Shipman Mansion Foundation recently received a $12,000 grant from the 1772 Foundation and a financial system has to be set up to track the grant, expenses and donations.   • Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

    Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital located in Marlton, NJ seeks volunteers! Requirements: Be at least 16 years of age; Commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, duration of 3 months; Complete the application process in full which includes a: Health clearance, Background check, Fingerprint clearance (for Medical Daycare Volunteers only), and a Volunteer orientation. Volunteers work hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and/or providing TLC to infants! We also seek volunteer lifeguards and swim buddies to assist in our Adaptive Aquatics program. Swim buddies assist instructors in providing structured activities in the pool area and help the children practice basic stroke mechanics. Opportunities are also available in the therapy departments.   • Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities

    Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in Burlington County.  The program is currently in need of volunteers to assist with donation solicitation and donation management. Activities may include soliciting items from local businesses for our annual major fundraiser, sorting Thanksgiving meal and Holiday donations as well as assistance with Community Affairs. We also have opportunities for volunteers to work with Domestic Violence Response Teams. These teams of trained volunteers work in conjunction with Burlington County police departments and respond to the police stations to talk to victims immediately following an incident of abuse. Volunteering is a personally rewarding experience that will enable you to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in your community.  If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, contact Marcia Fishkin, Community Affairs Program Supervisor, at 856-824-0599 or email mfishkin@cctrenton.org.   PHDVS has provided free and confidential services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children for over 35 years.
