  • Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center

    Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center provides a structured riding program, specifically designed to achieve maximum therapeutic benefit for individuals with special needs. It is the mission of  Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center to strengthen the body, mind and spirit of each person while fostering independence in a safe environment.   • American Red Cross- New Jersey Region

    American Red Cross-New Jersey Region –– Volunteers are needed to help in Disaster Assistance, Blood Services and with the Pillowcase Project.  Volunteers in Disaster Assistance are trained and able to respond to local Disasters and assist in Shelters.  Blood Services volunteers assist with Registration and Refreshments at Blood Drives or/and to help transport blood for processing.  Pillowcase Project is in need of facilitators – we will train - to present this preparedness program to students in grades 3 to 5.  Virtual administrative opportunities are also available.  For Students: 13plus youth can participate in youth group activities and Red Cross projects.  To learn more about opportunities in the Red Cross please email bea.frost@redcross.org Website:www.redcross.org/nj/camden or call (856) 365-7100 x 231

     

     

  • Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Volunteer Orientation

    Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice is a non-profit organization that contributes to the health and well-being of our community. Volunteers are needed to: Visit with Hospice Patients, act as a Greeter/Receptionist at our Samaritan Center at Voorhees, make Bereavement Phone Calls, Call Patients on Transitions program, assist in our Westmont Thrift Store, provide Administrative Support.   • Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

    Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital seeks volunteers 16 years or older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories provide TLC and socializing with patients.  Volunteers commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, for a minimum of 3 months.  We also seek assistance with clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!  Opportunities are also available at the outpatient therapy locations in Marlton, Pennsauken, Vineland, and Washington Township  Contact Rose Lynch Volunteer Manager Services,
