New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault

New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault  (NJCASA) is the state-wide coalition of sexual violence programs. Our mission is to promote the compassionate and just treatment of survivors, their loved ones and significant others, foster collaborative relationships between community systems, and affect attitudinal and behavioral changes in society as we work toward the elimination of sexual violence against all people. We are a not-for profit, 501(c)(3) organization. NJCASA is in need of a Resource Center and Website Volunteer a few hours each week to help organize and maintain our Resource Center, and update our website regularly. General duties: • Organize NJCASA’s Resource Center materials • Develop and maintain a working database that can store all of the materials on our website • Track and keep up-to-date records of materials checked-out and returned on a monthly basis • Read through materials and write brief summaries to be used in NJCASA newsletters and website • Input updated information on the NJCASA website as needed Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent organizational skills • Interest in developing and maintaining organizational systems • Experience with databases and Dreamweaver • Ability to work well independently • A librarian background a plus, but not necessary Other volunteer details: • Flexible schedules are available • Unfortunately, we are not accessible by public transportation. Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation.
